What We Collect

Your account details, your profile as you write it, and the records that come from running a membership site: sign-ins, subscription payments, and moderation history. Payment cards are handled by our payment processor; we do not store card numbers.

Every member completes identity verification through a verification vendor's own hosted process. Your identity documents go to that vendor, not to us — they never touch our servers. We receive the outcome of the check, not the documents.

The Launch Line

Before sign-up opens, you may add your name to the launch line. We keep the name, email address and notes you send us so that we can write to you when sign-up opens. Only Sola Singles staff can see them, and they are stored with all other member data, in Germany.

Where Your Data Lives

Our servers are in Germany. If you join from the United States, Canada, or anywhere else, your data is stored in Germany and has German data residency. That is a deliberate choice, and we would rather say it here than have you find out later.

Deletion

You can delete your account, and deletion means deletion — with two exceptions, stated plainly. Billing and tax records are kept, because the law requires it. Ban and audit records are kept, so that a member removed for cause cannot erase the record of why. Everything else goes.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your Sola Singles account at any time, on the website or in the app: sign in, open the menu under your picture, choose Security, then Delete My Account.

If you cannot sign in, write to us through Contact Us from the address on your account, and we will delete it for you.

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell personal data.
