Belief & Life Statement
Each member's own testimony, affirmed when they join: their faith in Christ, their standing with a church, and their belief about marriage.
I am a sinner, and I could not save myself. God, rich in mercy, sent his Son: Jesus Christ lived the obedience I have not lived, and it is counted as mine; he died on the cross bearing the wrath my sins deserved, and rose bodily from the grave. I have turned from my sin and put my trust in him alone — not in anything I have done or will do — and he is my Lord. I believe his Word, and by his grace I seek to obey it and live under its authority in all of life.
I am a member in good standing of a faithful church, or I have honestly described where I stand and why. I have not been excommunicated.
I believe marriage is the union of one man and one woman, established by God at creation.
